Leif started his journey in his home country of Denmark where he worked a four year apprenticeship to learn his trade. After graduating he served his country in The Royal Danish Navy for two years. He then spent two years working as a master stylist in Denmark before immigrating to The United States in 1970.
After working in the Memorial area for four years Leif opened Leif’s Hair Studio in 1973 and will be celebrating 52 years in 2025. The business has been a driving force in the industry ever since.
Leif became a citizen in 1988 and was appointed to the Texas Cosmetology Commission by Governor Rick Perry and served the State for 3 years in the capacity of State Commissioner.
Leif also holds a Texas Cosmetology Instructors License and has taught Cosmetology at The Aveda Institute Houston.
Leif has attended the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London many times.
Our strength at Leif’s lies in our apprenticeship training. Every stylist goes through a rigorous training program and is continually working on skill certifications.
Leif's hobbies are anything outdoors such as hiking, fishing, kayaking and golf.
Nicole is a 27 year veteran hairstylist and has spent all 27 years at Leif’s perfecting her trade. Nicole is our Creative Director and education instructor and handles the staff training. She wrote our apprenticeship curriculum and is constantly working on new coloring and cutting ideas. Nicole also works closely with Leif when creating our collections for spring and fall every year. Nicole is passionate about the industry and loves all of her clients.
Nicole is certified in balayage, keratin treatments, Bellami Hair Extensions, Redken and Schwarzkopf color. She attended the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London in 2010.
Nicole's hobbies include tending to her animals and spending time with her family.
Dina is a veteran front desk specialist and client adviser with 21 Years experience in the Salon Business and all 21 years at Leif's. She is also our team leader and handles human resources. Dina is your go-to person if you ever need an issue to be resolved.
Dina's hobbies include marathon running, Golf, movies and her animals.
Jocelyn has 13years of experience under her belt. Jocelyn has been at Leif's for 9 years. She is an Aveda Institute Houston graduate and completed her apprenticeship at Leif's. Her skill sets include balayage, precision haircutting and red heads. You'll have a great time in her chair with lots of laughs!
Jocelyn is certified in balayage, keratin treatments and Schwarzkopf color.
Jocelyn's hobbies include spending time with her children, karaoke and shopping.
Hailey has been doing hair for over 8 years now. She graduated from The Aveda Institute Houston back in 2017 and has completed her apprenticeship under Leif. Hailey is working on her skill sets for the next level here at Leif’s. Hailey's skill sets include lived-in color, precision haircutting, vivid hair color and extensions. She is also our social media coordinator and loves getting the perfect shot!
Hailey is one of our certified Bellami Hair Extension specialist. Book a complimentary consultation with her. She enjoys teaching at local cosmetology schools and in the salon.
Also, her hobbies include spending time with her family, tending to her plants, reading and going to concerts.
Ash has 5 years of experience. She has spent her entire career working under Leif. She graduated from Aveda Institute Houston and completed her apprenticeship at Leif's.
She loves haircutting and vivid hair color, but is amazing at what she does and you'll be laughing the whole time!
Ash is certified in balayage, keratin treatments, Bellami Hair Extensions and Schwarzkopf color.
Ash's hobbies include going to concerts and spending time with her family.
Parker is an Aveda Institute Houston alumna who completed our extensive apprenticeship program and has been behind the chair as a stylist for the past 3 years.
She is certified in keratin treatments, extensions, and Schwarzkopf color.
Parker has a passion for lived-in color, fashion colors, precision cutting, and creating personalized transformations that bring each guest’s dream hair to life. She is dedicated to continually growing her craft and career here at Leif’s as a master stylist
In her free time, Parker enjoys educating and sharing her skills within the beauty industry at local cosmetology schools and with aspiring stylists.
Outside of the salon, she also enjoys working on cars, crafting and tending to her pet lizard Ophelia.
Alexis is a Aveda Alumna and has completed her apprenticeship under Leif. She has one year experience and is overjoyed to further her career her at Leif’s Hair Studio.
She is certified in Keratin Treatments and Schwarzkopf color. She has a passion for all things hair color and cutting.
In her free time you’ll find her spending time with her children and line-dancing.
Bianca is a Aveda Alumna and has competed her apprenticeship under Leif. She has one year of experience behind the chair and is thrilled to continue her career at Leif’s Hair Studio.
She is certified in Keratin Treatments and Schwarzkopf color. She has a passion for precision haircutting and hair styling.
In her free time she enjoys going to the gym and dancing.
